Hi, I'm Ria, and I've spent most of my life being told to pick one thing.

I never have a good answer, because the honest one is that I don't want to, and I don't think I have to.

roomtemperaturefilm is a place I'm building where all of me gets to exist in the same conversation.

At the centre of these conversations is a fascination with people. I am endlessly curious about human behaviour, psychology, identity, culture, and the forces that shape the way we see ourselves and each other. I find myself drawn to questions of society, social justice, media, community, and change; questions that rarely have simple answers but are always worth asking.

I'm a first-year B.Des student, and design feels like the place where many of those interests finally converge. I care about images and words and how they create meaning, whose voices get centred in that meaning, and how thoughtful design can help us understand people and the world around us a little better.

The rest of me is over a decade of dance, essays written long after the assignment ended, an ever-growing collection of books, films, and playlists, and a completely unironic love for Grey's Anatomy and every procedural drama ever made. I spend a lot of time collecting stories, noticing patterns, and disappearing into rabbit holes that somehow always find their way back into my work.

This is where they all live.
